UGA Player Plans to Silence UT Crowd

UGA TE Orson Charles was asked about the crowd noise at Neyland Stadium.  “It’s a crazy environment,” he said. “It felt like the only time they made noise was when they did something good. If we play Georgia football, sooner or later the crowd will go away.”

“The crowd will go away”.
“The crowd will go away”.
“The crowd will go away”.
“The crowd will go away”.
“The crowd will go away”.

Before this young man was even a thought in his mothers mind, Neyland Stadium was collapsing on the opposing fans and teams as they came in and felt the intensity brought by the Vol Nation.  Now we have a UGA player, #7 dogging the fan base.  A good kid and a great player (who we wanted to play for UT) is saying that if Georgia just plays "their game," the UT fans will have nothing to yell about. After all, he is saying we only yell if we have something go our way.

This is a personal challenge to all Vol Fans this Saturday:  We MUST be loud, and we MUST be flat out obnoxious to the opposing team. This game is a must win in so many ways it would be a whole new post!  But let me point out the bottom line. If we win this game, we have a shot at an overall improvement in our team's final record and a chance for a good bowl game. We have three big time basketball recruits coming to the game and several football recruits. Georgia is a battleground state for us in recruiting football and basketball (with an emphasis on football) and a win helps tremendously.

Now apparently, Mr. Charles thinks we can only be loud when something good happens. General Neyland said, “if the breaks go against you put on more steam” (GGGGGGGRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!) LOVE NEYLAND!!!

So, since we are not really vocal, and we are so easily taken out of the game, maybe we should seek expert advice on when and how to be loud. Last week, Mark Richt decided to have Lemaze class with the UGA faithful.  Here is what he said they need to do to shut down Mississippi State:

“I want to talk to our fans and educate them a little bit. We need a lot of crowd noise and I know fans know that.  But when teams no-huddle and you’re cheering, you might not be cheering at the right time. So I want to try to tell you what we hope happens in the game.

When (Relf) looks to the sideline, that’s the time when we need the fans to go berserk. That’s when they’re going to try to communicate to their line what they’re going to do. We don’t want them to communicate well.  We want them to have trouble hearing each other and we want offensive lineman to jump offsides.

So, UGA fanbase, that’s the time when we want you to go crazy, when he looks to the sideline after he starts his cadence.”

Then he stood up and demonstrated.

UT Students, UGA does not respect you.  I know you think you are the misunderstood generation, and nobody else has had it like you, but you need to get crazy this weekend.  Every (YES, EVERY!) student when they enter the gate should say, “I will give my all for Tennessee today.”

UT fanbase, do you realize that every time you see a UGA fan on Saturday they are disrespecting you and the state of Tennessee?  This is a point often overlooked.  They came to the game and wore their disgusting colors and their Silver Britches because they think they are going to win.  Oh yes! This is how it works.  Every fan that shows up thinks that their team is better than ours. You need to yell and be rowdy like never before. If you have a defeated attitude and think we are going to lose, stay at home and get your tickets to the most abrasive UT fan you know.

We are going to win this game! Orson Charles needs to be reminded the entire game. Don’t back down from the challenge. Don’t let them think for a minute they are equal to us. God put Georgia below us for a reason. Tennessee is superior to UGA. Get Loud and then get louder!

Charles said, “The crowd will go away”.

“The crowd will go away”.
“The crowd will go away”.
“The crowd will go away”.
“The crowd will go away”.
“The crowd will go away”!?

It's OUR house!  Neyland built this stadium for one fan-base, and that fan base is clothed in ORANGE and WHITE!!

Carry the fight to Georgia, and keep it there for 60 minutes!!

Go Vols
